I had a past life in another timeline and shifted to this one by accident. 
For the rest, the first encounter I had with anyone who was living two lives side by side certainly made my brain stop for a bit, but that's only because the whole concept was new to me.
And finally, as for the "crazy" part, I've found it best to disregard the potential insanity for thought processes or sudden bizarre realizations of a questionable nature about myself because they don't determine many of my actions in physical reality. You're not going to jump off any buildings after all.
