This is kinda long, but it's worth it. Please read it if you're not in a hurry. If you ARE in a hurry, copy this post into a WordPad or something and read it later.

Last night I went to bed at about 1:45 in the morning by my time zone, fell asleep almost instantly, and started having a dream. This is not the aforementioned most awesome dream ever. This dream could, I suppose, be thought of as some sort of prelude to the one after it (and THAT's what I refer to as the most epic non-lucid dream ever), but it was similar to a few other instances in which I fell asleep thinking about my friends too much--I dreamed about chatting on Skype. This has happened at least twice before, but it's only been with people I regularly chat with, specifically other members of a channel (actually it's three channels, but I don't feel like explaining that) I'm in which is mostly made up of otherkin. But in this dream I saw a new member in one of them that I certainly hadn't been expecting.

Galadreil.

I wasn't aware that Galadreil had Skype. Actually, as of a couple minutes before writing this sentence, I'm now pretty sure he doesn't since I just searched users of his name out of curiosity, unless he's using a name different from his MSN name. But anyway, he was in there and I'm like "Meh, whatever, maybe Drakomis PMed him and invited him somehow." I introduced myself and he was at first not very talkative about much but eventually started to get more active. Eventually I started chatting with him by private session about something and I don't remember what, but I do recall that it was getting really late and I commented that for some reason I couldn't sleep and was in fact getting more hyper. It happens to me sometimes at night, especially if I'm having a deep talk with Draquenvar or a rare chance to talk with Celtore.
Eventually Galadreil logged off (what was HE doing up at 3 am? Confused ) so I logged off too in order to go to bed and... uh, I woke up. Um... In bed. Laughing And it was about 3 in the morning, according to my watch. So of course I felt a bit weird about the whole thing and wondered if it really was a dream at all, since it didn't contain any elements that specifically contradicted "natural" reality. I decided though (and proved this morning when I logged into Skype and didn't see Galadreil on my contact list) that it would most likely not have been real. Hyrax, however, urged me to go back to sleep, saying that if I'd had a dream I could remember that vividly, the odds might be greater that I could have another one that same night. Unfortunately it took me roughly a whole hour to fall back asleep, but I did, which indeed started another dream.

This dream began with myself waking up in my room in the morning, which prevented me from realizing it was a dream (which could have woken me up prematurely >.<). I had a class that day, but getting to DeVry from my home was different in the dream from how it is in reality. Atlanta was in a more mountainous region, and there was no subway train so I had to walk the rest of the way. It wasn't that bad, but along the way I had to cross a bridge over a gorge that was about 120 feet down, and the bridge seemed like it wasn't in very good condition. I got to DeVry all right and the class was pretty interesting, but as I was halfway across the bridge on my way back to the bus that would take me home, it began to collapse and I was forced to run really fast back the way I'd come. And now I was stuck with no conventional way home. Of course if I'd been aware this was just a dream (without waking up), I could've just sprouted wings and a tail and simply jumped across the gorge, or even better I could've simply made a full p-shift in order to fly back home and save a charge on my MARTA Breeze Card, but that wasn't the case. So I decided to go back into downtown for help. It would, after all, be a considerably greater problem for more people than just myself.
So I went back into the city and headed for the guys who'd been responsible for building the bridge in the first place, and this is where it starts to get really really weird. There was a U.S. military training facility in Atlanta, and they're the ones who'd made the bridge. No, I'm not joking. And what sort of training is there at this facility? Oh, nothing much. Just a place where soldiers are trained to fly on dragons. DRAGONS.
So in my increasingly trippy dream, there is apparently a portion of the United States Military that trains soldiers to fly on DRAGONS, and among other things, they BUILD STUFF. Why the heck is this?! I don't know! I didn't even know this INSIDE the dream--it freaked me out when I discovered it!! But there were some sort of complications with them trying to fix the bridge, and I had to stay there for the rest of the day and through almost all of that night while they did so. And why did the military let me wander around the facility randomly staring at dragons rather than telling me to go wait out in the park? Once more, I don't have a clue.
So I wandered around and eventually just waited someplace reading and watching the hours tick by. By 5 in the morning, it was finally finished, and I had to walk across this bridge that a ton of other people were rushing across and make the long bus ride back to my home (and yes, this was one of those dreams where you somehow nap inside of it Cool ), got off at my street, and walked the rest of the way back to my house. Rather than go straight to bed though, I fired up Skype, because that's SOMEHOW what I felt like doing after going 24 or 25 hours straight with no sleep. Go figure. And guess what? Yup. There was Galadreil again. The time in my dream was about 7 in the morning right then. I'd say he's got some weird hours, but then so do I, so whatever.

-

Scorpiochess: Yo, I just wandered into a military training center in Atlanta.
Galadreil: And?
Scorpiochess: Uh, mind telling me why they've got a bunch of real live dragons in there?
Galadreil: ...Huh? Um, to fly around and possibly fry things, I guess? Wouldn't it just sort of go without saying? Why does the army have anything at all?
Scorpiochess: WTF MAN!! I knew we had PLANES but how long have we had DRAGONS!?
Galadreil: What the heck is your problem? We've had dragons for decades now. We're using them in Afghanistan right now, for instance. Everyone knows that.

-

Yeah. "Everyone" knows it. Ain't that just cute. >.>

-

Scorpiochess: ...Wtf, seriously.
Galadreil: Well what do you want from me, Hyraxylos? I just don't know what I'm supposed to say. It all simply is what it is.
Scorpiochess: OK, that tears it. I think this is some sort of dream. It's a really awesome dream, but it's still a dream.
Galadreil: What? What is? The dragons?
Scorpiochess: EVERYTHING! This whole world is fake!
Galadreil: Uh... ok...? Now I REALLY don't know what to say lol
Scorpiochess: I need to test something. brb

-

I attempted to p-shift then and succeeded, which made me about 98% certain that I was dreaming. Unfortunately, I didn't get back to chatting (otherwise I might've considered firing up my webcam and freaking people out XD ) because I woke up then. My IRL clock read 8 am, meaning that there wasn't any more time for a third dream, sadly. Hyrax told me repeatedly for a whole hour to write it down as I was eating, and it took me another few hours amid distractions and multitasking to get it all written out, so here it is. I doubt there's anything that can be interpreted, beyond possibly that this was some new conspiracy theory my subconscious might have been wanting to add to my collection. It might be an interesting roleplay setting though, even if I myself don't participate in the Story Telling section.

Haha, I seriously lol'd. Not at you or the dream Hyrax, but the circumstances. That would mark two people that had me in their dreams last night. Chris knows what I'm talking about.

And yeah, I've never had skype, or remotely know what it looks like. Barely know what it is even. But that would be nice indeed, I'm in the military, being trained to be a dragon rider....haha if only.

Daragon: Uh... wut? o.o;

CB: It's a therian term for physical shifting. It's never been observed to happen of course, but the term was probably invented due to it being a frequent subject of speculation among communities.

Galadreil: The whole thing weirded me out as well, but the apex of it was probably when you said to me that "Everyone knows that." Laughing The other freaky chat-related dream I've had was when I fell asleep on the bus on the way to DeVry, dreamed about talking on Skype with the group I mentioned, and they told me to wake up because my stop was approaching at the moment that the bus actually WAS starting to pull in. Think
