That doesn't make much sense, Miru. Seizures, which are brought on by excessive brain activity, don't hurt. My mom has seizures, and has not at all mentioned headaches as part of the experience, despite detailing everything else. This is because the brain *itself* actually lacks sensation. That's why they can do brain surgery while an individual is conscious.

Thus, you should have epilepsy, not migraines if 30% of your brain mass is constantly lit up.

Did you know that Migraines are actually smaller seizures?

No, they aren't. A thirty-second check on your claim proved that they are barely associated with seizures in the least. And also, if you used thirty percent of your brain, you would probably be on a life support machine and unable to interact with the world. Please remember to doublecheck both what you know and what other people are saying, everyone, this thread is proving to be an excellent source of misinformation on a myriad of topics.

No, they are NOT seizures. I get migraines, from *dehyrdration*. Full on, aura-producing, can't-move, kill-me-now migraines. Because I don't drink enough, not because of a seizure.

Please note that I work in the medical field, so I am especially going to be checking biological facts.

First of all that 10% thing people keep blathering on about is this theory. Most humans make use of only 10% of their theoretical brain capacity. Which is not the same as 10% of the brain. I believe they even hit on this in Stargate.. Brain refers directly to the gray matter itself. Capacity refers to it's capabilities for storing and processing data. please get your terms straight.

As has been pointed out earlier. the brain has no nerve endings in it. in order for brain surgeons to be capable of telling what not to cut they require their patients to be partial aware and capable of responding. you are only given local anesthetic to deal with the fact that your skull has to be cut open.

Migraines and other headaches have many many triggers. Dehydration, low blood sugar, sinus infections a bad cold. For some caffeine is a trigger. For other salty foods can be a trigger. Heck for some girls, like me, migraines are a fact of life during their periods and i can say with a certainty that for me, those are migraines of the I'm going to lock myself in a dark room with an icepack and sleep mask on my eyes, earplugs and earmuffs over my and he who disturbs me does so at their own risk because it hurts to move, and light and sudden noises hurt sort. migraines/headaches are completely normal for me. In fact a full week of migraines is the way my body decides to tell me it has deep ear and or sinus infections... or that I really really need to kick the current bout of insomnia. or i'm seriously pushing myself to hard ext.... So please as Skie and Shari have asked please get your facts straight.
