So I guess this question would be for any predator otherkin
When I get mad or feel threaten I have a strong urge to growl and show some teeth, but I have always suppressed those urges in public.
Now I'm not talking getting loud and making a scene type growl, just maybe a low growl and show a bit of teeth to show I'm serious.
When I'm alone at home is the only time I'll not suppress the growl if I get mad at something.
anyone else share this or is it just me? |

Not a 'kin exclusive thing. It's a natural expression for someone to growl when they get frustrated by something; it's in our mammalian makeup. Cats growl, dogs growl and humans growl. (If I may digress to make an evolutionist comment: We tend to use those baseline reactions because that's how our animal ancestors reacted in response to similar stimulus.)
So no, it's not just you, but every person on this planet, 'kin or not. _________________ May you be in heaven a half hour before the devil knows you're dead.

| Hmm never thought of it that way. I guess others that are not other kin can express themselves with a growl. I just live in an environment that would see that as very informal so I took it as it was only me for the longest time. |

I have been embarresed by growling and not being aware that I am doing it. I have been heard to growl when I am not upset. _________________ From you I receive to you I give

I've been more prone to growling in recent years, I too get the urge to show teeth, though not always when something is really serious. I use it automatically as a way of showing I'm annoyed by something, though I will supress it when the situation calls for it _________________ Ranna, the first, the smallest bell. I to find an urge to growl when I am frustrated as well, and I bare my teeth, although I do not do this in public.
It's probably a common thing among mammals, like DarkDragon said. _________________ All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a Thousand Enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you... but first, they must catch you! -Watership Down |
