I make no effort at keeping my draconity to myself and would cheerfully blurt it out to anyone who asked. Hence, the only barrier I've got effectively is that nobody's crazy enough to walk up to me randomly and say "HEY YOU! ARE YOU A DRAGON?!" 
My parents know and don't care. We've all got weirder parts of ourselves that are of more concern.
The only remaining thing I've heard that's made me wonder just for a couple of minutes if I should treat my secretiveness more seriously was when someone told me to "be careful an employer doesn't learn about it". As I'm going into the video game industry, I somehow doubt that would be an issue. >.>;
