Does your Other have a different voice?

An aquaintence of mine recently noticed that my voice changes when I am expressing Kimo's thoughts. Or how she puts it "When Kimo speaks...". She also told me that Kimo has a manner of speaking that differs from mine. And uses words that contain a lot more syllables. Some of the others in our circle that have heard Kimo speak agreed. Another person said that my facial expressions change as well. Indeed, my whole countenance changes.

I think that since I have been with Kimo for so long that I have not noticed this. Or maybe it is because usually when I hear Kimo's voice it is when I am engaged in conversation with just him. Then again, I cannot see myself through other's eyes.

Since this has been brought to my attention I have realized that Kimo has only spoken to others just recently. I think that it is very strange that it wasn't until someone else brought this to my attention that I realized that Kimo has a seperate voice.

I have come to realize that when Kimo speaks I am sitting off to the side along with everyone else listening to what he has to say. I think that Kimo and I have been together for so long that I think of us as one and not two. Not only that but, when I usually hear Kimo's voice it is when we are having one on one coversations.

Or maybe Kimo is just now feeling comfortable enough around certain people that he has started to speak for himself.

Now that I am aware of this, I find it very fascinating to watch how others respond to him. And that includes me too.

Is there anyone else out there to whom this is or has happened to?

So you're a multiple?

Hyrax seldom truly "speaks" to me at all (i.e. cause me to hallucinate his voice), and out of those times he does, he almost never speaks English because he just finds the language annoying for whatever reason. Most of the time we just communicate with pure "data" between each other. Sometimes however, he'll talk to me verbally in order to creep me out, and at other times I'll talk to him in English to annoy him.

If it didn't startle me most of the time, he likely wouldn't do it, but he systematically waits for the best moment to make me jump, whenever disembodied spirits and the like are the last thing on my mind. He doesn't do this very often though, only about every 3 months.
