Ok, so I do NOT consider my self as an otherkin (yet), but I have always felt that I'm something more than 'just me' (a missing part). I do not say that this 'missing part' IS a dragon, cause THATS what I want to find out.
When I was younger my mom told me I tried to jump off tall things. I climbed up on the table and jumped off it. I've climbed many trees and jumped off it. Weird? My mom also said that I didn't jump normally. I didn't try to land on my feet, to be honest she said that I didn't seem to know that I was going to hit the ground.
Sadly I don't remember anything from that time, but I was a big fan of the nature and animals (dragons also, and I still are).
My dad joked and said I was being suecidal
I don't dream much, but when I do, I dream about jumping from trees
Am I half Tarzan or what? x3 I want to know myself more! O_O |

That is rather amusing. Unfortunately, only you can truly decide if you've found yourself or not and it's up to you to discover yourself. However, we can offer a few hypothesis as to what you might be.
There are various different species which jump and remian in the trees, such as snakes, squrriels, and birds. Not trying to land on your feet would make me think that you were nearly always up in the tree.
Also, the tree jumping may not have anything to do with your kinship. Some children just do silly things, such as jump from trees and other various objects.
Something that may help you discover yourself would be to meditate and or do some soul searching. Obsereve how you feel towards certain things and go with it. Like I said before, we can only give little insights as to how to find yourself. A word of advice: do not settle for what you think you are. Look deeper than the surface and dig further in. _________________ Blessings |

What I try to do is find a place where no else really goes or at least some place that isn't so busy. Somewhere quiet and peaceful which helps you relax. Usually I sit down and close my eyes, clearing my thoughts away and just travel deep into my own world.
Also what I find helpful instead of meditation is taking a walk, doing some soul searching and figure things out about yourself. Observe how you feel and or react to certain things. I hope I've helped a bit.
(If I missed anything, feel free to chime in. ) _________________ Blessings |

jumping from trees for kids is not uncommon, me and my friends would climb trees all the times and jump from them at such heights it made my parents freak. we were lighter back then so hitting the ground was not as hard for us
Now if you look from some tall hight and want to jump of and take flight that is a different story. can you recall at all if you thought you could fly and tats why you were jumping?
and I know not to jump from tall places i dont got physical wings |

Hmm... I can't remember what I thought from the time I was young, but my biggest wish was/is to have wings and fly. When I was 8-9 I had a imaginary friend that was a dragon. My friends though I was crazy, but I didn't care.
He was a small dragon with a green/silver color. And when I think about it, I remember a dream that I had in that same age! I could fly in the dream, and I flew out of a window and out in the open.
And another dream I had (when I was 13) was about me flying out a window and over the forest to a little tree hut. Thats the only two dreams I can remember flying in. _________________ Smile to the world and the world will smile back! |

Are you still attracted to trees? If you are my suggestion would be to look to the trees. Go meditate in the woods when the opportunity presents itself. If you feel the urge to climb, I would say that you are akin to a squirrel or a monkey or a koala.
If you are attracted to high places. Go mountain climbing. Or wall crawling. If on your journey up you find that the exertion of your muscles feels awesome then I would conclude that you are more akin to a land based animal. Like a mountain sheep or a mountain lion or an ant or a monkey or a Yetti.
If you get to the top of your obstacle an have an urge to sit or stand on the edge and meditate in the sun then I would say that are more akin to a bat or a lizard or a snake.
If you get to the top and have a strong urge to run and take a hopeful leap..... make sure that you are attached to a glider. You may be akin to the eagle, or the sparrow, or the hawk, or the dragonfly, or the butterfly, or a 747.
If while you are flying you find yourself opening up to possibilities then you are definetly a dragon!

We can't tell you what you are naturally, the best we can do is provide you with tools to start self exploration. That being said, the only one you should listen to, when it comes to what you might be, is yourself.
Serenity has a good point. Meditation may help you gain more insight, but it's just one of many things. You should ask yourself questions like: "Does human fit me?" "Am I truly something different, and if so, how do I know that I'm not crazy or making it up?" |
