I've never really been a big fan of any windows software.. For me, the first glance has been "well, this is actually kinda nice." After a few months, I start having some terrible issues, and my computer crashes/completely fails quite often, for no apparent reason. I've run linux for a short time, and it works much better, and more consistently. The only problem is that windows already cornered the market, and mostly all of the good things that you can get for a computer work only for windows/mac. I hated Vista so very much, 7 was sorta okay until a few months passed and now, its just kinda meh/icky.
As I like to say, both seriously and jokingly, "Windows is sooo transparent" (hahahaha >.>)
My personal opinion is that windows is terrible, but until things start getting compatible with linux or another omni-compatible OS comes out, I'm kinda stuck. _________________ my interest = dragons; if you = dragon

I could point out a few methods to make the switch to linux easier, by pm, if you like. However, there are always a few things that will run better on a Windows machine. Same goes for certain software for Mac OS. Ultimately, it really depends on what you plan to do with a system to determine which OS is best for you. |
