Nature off the kin

So I am a very new kin and I just wanted to say hi, and also ask a kin question. I realised my kin through meditation, which I do a lot, and then I started to have dreams about being a dragon, only they are very, very vague, just flying really. But I definitely feel like I am the dragon.

But then,some of you talk about your kin talking to you, or communicating with you, and that is s little weird to me I mean, if you are the dragon, how can they talk to you, isn't that talking to yourself. but then, maybe you aren't actually the dragon, but just connected to the dragon?

So I am wondering about this.

I know precisely where you are coming from. When I too was starting my journey anew as an otherkin, I was a little confused by the various forms of communication or connections that people had with themselves and/or their past.

Over time, I started to realize it within myself, through the aid of my guardian (she did most of the work for me ^.=.~ ), that it is possible to stand beside one's self in their memories; much like you would watch a movie. Even better than a movie though, at given times it is possible to confront your consciousness from that point in time of your memories and speak with who you were at that time. What carries over from one life to the next varies greatly through the masses, but it is inevitable that your past self will be different from who you are now; be it in personality, intellect, or perceptions. The being many people see as their past self is indeed a part of their soul, but it likely has many nuance differences that make them a differentiable person.

How you and others perceive and interpret memories of yore does not change the fact of who you are. Calling upon these memories and living by them can be a life altering event, for which I am personally thankful for having. In time, you too will learn more and more about who you are by watching who you were, both then and now.

If I talked to the dragon me then yes, I would be talking to myself. Now if I talk to Galadreyil, then yeah I'm talking to an separate entity. Our consciousness is split and kinda like trying to fit two souls into one body. He has his own mind and thoughts, which we do share. A lot of emotion, thought, and the such.

The closest Ive come to talking "with my kin self" was in one of the dreams / visions I'd have while both meditating and sleeping. I was forcibly trying to wake up too; the reasons for this... unfortunately is one I'm not able to discuss in here on sdb. Any how there was a short while where it felt like there were two of me, the current self being the one who was growing more irritated and disgusted and generally repulsed more so with every passing moment. but yeah there was conversation er argument that occurred towards the end of it. but it quite literally feels like having a conversation with your self It's just your attitudes can(every now and then) be different towards certain things.as it's kinda like a case of current sight vrs hindsight.
at least that's how it was/is for me.

A fair question, there seems to be a new trend that people see themselves and "their other" as two different entities. This is of course very personal, and different for everybody else. It could refer to someone who has two souls occupying a single body (a multiple), some people can "speak" or at least communicate, with themselves using meditation, and there are those who share a deep inner connection with a dragon, while they themselves aren't dragons themselves.

I can only share my personal experience, as it's different for everybody else.
I can't have discussions with myself, apart from the occasional what-if game and trains of thought. I'm me, a single entity in this body, and as such, I can "talk" to myself in my head, but it's still only me, so I can predict what I'll say. A complicated what-if game if you will.

How did it happen? I searched for traces of dragons where ever I went or go. Leaving my mind wide open to any possibility. Hoping to one day run into a dragon.

Listening to lots of myths, legends, fairytales, folklore, fancy flights of imagination.
And looking at every totem, knick nack, statue, drawing, painting, carving, bumper sticker, patch, label, wind chime, window sticky, mobile, tattoo of a dragon with the hope and expectation that it will come to life.

Why did it happen?
Because dragons believe in us too.
