I woke up this morning at about 6:15 and something in me showed an unusual amount of intuition for my still being half asleep, telling me I should get up and eat something, and that in the past I've had more success controlling when I choose to wake up from dreams while sleeping on the couch downstairs than up in my room. Besides that, I liked getting up early and having more hours in the day. Unfortunately that was my last thought before I fell back asleep immediately.
I dreamed that I'd just finished some sort of exhausting... city thing. And apparently it was way farther away than I used to go for classes, because I had to take a lot more subway trains and monorails than before in order to get home. I don't remember much about the first train ride where the dream started, so it was probably uneventful. Once it arrived at its destination, I got off and went with everyone else into a long tunnel. It was startling how many trains were parked in this tunnel, all bound for different places, but none of them were aiming for my destination, so I just kept going. Along the way, I saw someone selling doughnuts. Underground. The smell was overwhelming, and I knew that if I didn't buy a box of them the world would end. I'm American, I couldn't help it. So after that, I walked down another flight of stairs and saw that the next area of the station was absolutely huge, and totally filled with shiny lights, train cars, people, and all kinds of nonsensical stuff. I hardly know where to begin describing the scene. I guess I'll go in order that I listed.
The lights were all over the floors and walls, very colorful, and were more "stripe"like than bulblike. They seemed to be completely meaningless. The trains were not attached to anything at all. They just looked like monorail cars lining the walls, with an electric display above them on the wall saying what their destinations were. But they weren't on rails or anything, and there appeared to be no mechanical possibility for them to move. Yet somehow they WERE departing when I wasn't looking; I could hear them leaving, but could never look fast enough to see how they were moving. The people were being completely oblivious to everything, at least the ones who were walking around. Nobody was engaging in conversation or anything. This wasn't unusual. What WAS unusual was that this screwy train station seemed to also be an underground casino. I'm dead serious, there were gambling tables, slot machines, and peculiarly enough there was evidently a movie theater down here someplace as well. People playing games were way more energetic than those of us just trying to find trains. To make things even weirder, I started seeing remnants of random popcorn spills on the floor with no rhyme or reason to their positioning.
I was totally lost. There were no directions anywhere and I had to wander randomly, trying to find the train I needed. There were multiple floors, all with train cars, the train cars were EVERYWHERE (even in the movie theater), and at the time that I finally found the name of the place I wanted to reach, the train car under it was already gone. Great. Fortunately at that time I started to become vaguely semi-aware that I was dreaming, and found that I could rewind time. I did so, back to when I got off the previous train, and tried to go faster out of memory for where I'd found the train. I missed it again, but this time I took time to trace my steps back to the starting point before rewinding again. The next time, I managed to get there with about one minute left, but some popcorn burst out of a wall (nobody cared except me, everyone just calmly waded through it), slowing my progress. I had to practically swim through it and just BARELY managed to get into the train car before the door shut behind me.
I flung myself onto a seat and just shut my eyes for a while and caught my breath. However I realized just then that I shouldn't have because I wanted to see how the train car would be able to leave. Sadly, I was too late; when I opened my eyes I saw it was already moving along a perfectly normal set of electrified rails. On the train, I decided to eat a doughnut. It was triple chocolate and holy Earth it was absolutely delicious, probably the most vivid part of the entire dream and I don't want to torment anyone with longing (including myself) by getting too descriptive about it. This turned out to be a good idea though, because the doughnuts were fake and would vanish from existence when I woke up. Not too much of a bother though, since I'd spent fake money on purchasing them from a fake guy at a fake train station.
Eventually it landed at a totally familiar station, one that I used every day I had classes in order to get home. I'd just have to take a couple of buses and then walk half a mile. By luck, the buses were laid out in the same arrangement I was familiar with and the bus I needed just happened to be parked there and loading passengers. I got in line and got onto the bus, and was just about to reach the driver so I could use my card.

"OH GOD, A DRAGON!!!"

That came from behind me. I turned around and saw some woman backing away from me in horror with really wide eyes. Someone else yelled something I couldn't hear well, and then someone else yelled "WHAT WHERE" and then someone pointed at me yelling something else unintelligible because by then EVERYBODY was yelling and soon people began running around in random directions in a mad panic, screaming nonsensically. For the record, I'd remained in human form from when the dream started, so I was really confused. No part of my anatomy that I could examine was Hyraxylean. The only things left that could have p-shifted by accident (which I couldn't examine) were my eyes, but the first yell had come from behind me, and frankly if I were that woman who yelled, I'd have been more disturbed at my ability to see someone's eyes from behind than at the realization that the guy in front of me was wearing some really weird contact lenses. I hate contact lenses by the way, and wasn't wearing any, and my eyes weren't slitted either, when I looked at my reflection in something metallic.
I looked back at the bus and saw it was totally empty. Nobody had run past me out the door and they couldn't have fit anyway, so either they all dove out the windows silently (including the driver), shutting some of the windows behind them for whatever reason, or they all just vanished. Something in me snapped and I felt really angry. To get a better view of things, I jumped onto the roof of the bus. Even though I was in human form, yes, I could still apparently jump 10 feet up into the air because I'm awesome or something. Disturbingly, the people weren't paying attention to me anymore, they were too preoccupied running around screaming. They weren't even going towards any particular place or trying to get away, it was like they were all programmed by a random number generator for movement direction. Nobody was calling the police, nobody was trying to hide in other buses (people ran in and out ridiculously), and nobody was trying to calm anyone else. Just mindless uneventful mass panic, if such a thing is possible.
The whole scene was just pathetic and disgusting. This wasn't how people were supposed to act, not even in a panic! This wasn't how ANY animals are supposed to act! Everyone was being a bunch of idiotically programmed robots. I yelled "F*** ALL OF YOU", shifted to dragon form slightly larger than human size, spitefully dented the roof of the bus, and launched from it. I'd just fly the rest of the way home. And yes, I still had the doughnuts. Since my clothes just sort of disappeared though, I don't know what happened to my wallet.
On arriving at my house, I decided to just "phase" through the window of my room because it was early morning and I did not want to have to deal with Aqua, my younger cat. Because she IS dumb and obnoxious enough to pester a live scary-looking dragon. However, there was a man sleeping in my bed. Close examination revealed that he looked a lot like my father, and then I figured out that it was me. I got agitated at that because I remembered that I was supposed to already be up and should have gotten out of bed two hours earlier (the length of the dream), so I took a deep breath, leaned in, and roared at the human to wake up. Predictably, this ended the dream quite promptly and left me feeling really startled at the rude awakening and with a big headache because a grumpy dragon roared into my ear. >_<

This ended about two and a half hours ago as of my posting this, and it was about 25 hours between when I took my Adderall this morning and when I took my previous pill yesterday. That might explain quite a bit.

Quite a trip. Last I remember though the dreams where mine were of similar realism I was dreaming of being in combat and dying while successfully saving the lives of whoever it was I was trying to save. Comrades or near/family. I guess though that ties into (and by the dreams means I would go to that length for the people I care for) how I would give my life under those circumstances.

Though most recently I apparently killed a demon with a sword which was dull and the tip folded back. I forced it into the human-like demons neck after much struggle and blood was spewing. Then I felt nothing but regret for killing him but like it had to be done.

It is odd, I having more intense dreams like yours lately. Maybe it's a sign the veil is weakening. (sarcasm input at the end).
