god, thought this was supposed to be child freindly?! lol
anyways, abortions, right, well, let them come or get one if you dont want a kid... but you should never get an abortion and not have played it safe a while back. "always wear your condoms kids" is what my A.G.E. teacher said.... yes she did say that!! _________________ I think, therefore I am. If I think there's nothing, am I nothing? |

And as just one more personal note. If I discovered that my child had an extra cromosone (spell check), that causes down sindrom, I would consider an abortion. I think it is crule to make a person suffer.
I want you to watch this and then tell me it is cruel to allow him the gift of life.

So what is the point of this video.. ??.. Showing that a mom can love her child and in that aspect the child is happy ??.. Well I could have told you that in the first place that the mom and dad are "usually" not the problem. (sometimes they are).
Its the other kids, its what happens when they get older, when the teens arrive with games of dominance when the stage for flirting comes when a lot of things happen that are bad and will target a child because it is different and it cant do anything about it.. Thats when the missery sets in, and no mom and dad can sooth that by only saying "ignore them, your special, dont worry it will be alright".. For even when they turn 20 - 30 - 40.. This will continue the older generations will still look weirdly, make comments behind this back, will still scold him and laugh at him when he doesnt do something as he's supposed to do..
So what exactly is this video to show of his life in "the world".. Instead of the comfort of his moms bosom ??.. Because there isnt one picture that goes beyond that..

I couldnt have said that better myself. If a parent truly loves their child and truly wants the best life possable then why put them through a hell that you know is in line for them???? |

some one in my class wrote a paper on abortion and some people think it is killing a person acording to their religion. But my opinion is people should have the right to have an abortion. They should not be stuck with a baby that has been forced apon them. But anyone should have the right to live.
Dont get me wrong but there are ups and downs to this topic.
and i will respect anyones opinion.cause they are all right and there is not just one answer. _________________ Its Better To Be An Old Mans Sweet Heart Than A Young Mans Slave |

in case other people have or haven't heard on the news, a man is being charged with two accounts of murder; because he killed a pregnant woman.
even though the baby was going to be due in a week, i believe there was another murdered-preganant-woman case, and that murderer was also charged with two accounts of murder. even though the "baby" was still a fetus.
if a person can be thrown in jail with two accounts of murder, one because of a fetus, then i personally think abortions are like murder. |

In some situations, abortion is understandable, but overall, I think it's wrong. People know where babies come from, so if they're not responsible enough to be "safe," then they have to deal with the consequences. No, I'm not saying that babies should be stuck with uncaring parents, but there is always the option of allowing the baby to be adopted by parents who will love it.
Families in which the parents know they have a high risk for their children getting a very serious and possibly fatal disease are an example of those who should not have children of their own. Adoption is the best option for them, and it would provide loving homes for children in the situation previously described. It would spare the possible biological children of the couple, as well as the family, the pain and suffering the diseased child would bring. That is not to say that once created, the child should be aborted. I'm just saying that they should have done something to keep from getting pregnant.
I know someone in the above situation. The couple had about a 90% chance of having a diseased child if it was a boy, but any girls they had would be healthy. Their first child was a boy who died after about a year, and the second child was a healthy girl. A few years later, they had another boy who is still living, but is totally dependent on a ventilator, can't eat solid food, has never spoken or been to school, and basically, cannot function on his own. He's a happy-go-lucky kid, but it's still sad to see him like that. He does have the right to live now that he's here, but the parents should have been more cautious, so that another child wouldn't have to live such a confined life.
There are some situations in which I do support abortion somewhat, though. If the pregnancy would kill the mother, then it's necessary. If a woman got pregnant as the result of a rape, then I think it would be less cruel to abort the pregnancy, because once born, the woman could only see the face of the rapist in the baby, causing the woman more trauma and stress than what she would have already endured. Or, if the doctors KNOW FOR A FACT that the baby will be a "vegetable" or dead within the first three years.
Overall, it's not the legality of abortion that is the issue, it's the abuse of the procedure. People use it unnecessarily. Abortion should NOT be used simply as a form of birth control. There are much more humane ways of that, the simplest and most certain being for people to keep their legs closed.

Nothing's 100%.

Sounds dangerously close to advocating eugenics.

Who decides what situations are necessary? It could easily be argued that the burden of having a child at 19 is something that might make it necessary. Or in some families which don't have the resources for another. Or in any number of other situations.

What about abortion is "inhumane"? The fetus is completely incapable of feeling pain (the necessary structures just aren't formed yet) until somewhere in the 3rd trimester. The procedure itself is pretty bloody, but so are other surgeries.
I would, however, agree that nonessential (i.e. not explicitly required for the health and/or life of the mother) third trimester abortions should be regulated, at the very least, since they'd have had 6mos to think about it by then, but not before. _________________ To win against an opponent stronger than yourself, you must not be weaker than that opponent. - Takamachi Nanoha |
